Victor

Tonight we finally took the leap we've been *meaning to do* for a good year at least. Through Compassion International, we started a sponsorship of a precious boy in Mexico named Victor. Rowen wanted to sponsor a "big boy" and Victor meets that requirement, being a whopping 7 years old. He lives in an area of Mexico near Rancho El Camino, which is an awesome ranch where our friends Pete and Emily will be ministering to local youth. So, maybe someday we'll actually get to visit Pete and Emily AND VICTOR!

In reality, admitting that I actually ponder which elite brand of winter fleece to buy for Rowen or which type of monogram to have embroidered on Harper's bibs seems so small and selfish and inconsequential in a world where many children proudly wear second hand clothes and wonder where their next meal will come from. We're not solving the world's problems by sending 38 dollars a month to Compassion for Victor. But maybe its a start.

"And the King will answer, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ ...Matthew 25:40
