Fall in the Carolinas

I took the kiddos up to the mountains of NC for my family's annual apple butter weekend back in October and we had a fun time!
Pumpkin patch visit

As my Uncle Ted says, "a wild and wooly" tractor ride. Here with Uncle JB and Mr. Cal

Granny's girl eating dried corn. Gross.
Lowcountry Produce Pumpkin Patch. This puppy hat now makes regular appearances at home and out.

Halloween with Scooby and the sweetest Strawberry

Sweet baby girl

Jen graciously came trick or treating with us and I would have been lost without her!

We're keeping our heads (barely) above water with Rob away. I saw him this past week in Australia, which was good for my heart, but now I feel even more sad returning home without him. For 5 more months. Ugh. Most days I feel like I can barely scrape by and yesterday I was reminded of this verse.

"Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged
for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9

That kinda makes my treading water and barely scraping by seem like disobedience. So, message received. But the delivery is a bit more challenging...I'm workin' on it.
